This year`s contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Thursday, June 14th at Victor High School. The boys` game will start at 8:00 PM after the girls` play at 6:00 PM and the youth clinic which starts at 4:30. |

This is the first Sectional Title for Penfield since 2013. The Patriots and Red Raiders have now face three times in the Title Game and Penfield now has a 2-1 lead. Prior to today, Fairport defeated Penfield in 2012 and Penfield defeated Fairport in 1993. |

# 1246 Fairport Returns to Finals After 2 Year Absence Second seeded Fairport came to play and defeated Penfield 13-9. The Red Raiders scored the first four goals and held Penfield scoreless into the second quarter. The Patriots fought back hard for the entirety of the game, but never got closer than 2 goals. Fairport was led in scoring by TJ Hendricks with 4g-2a. Jake Bucci (4g-1a) and Spencer Bell (3g-1a) also added significant scoring for the Red Raiders. Fairport advances to the Finals for the sixth time in nine years (3 wins in 2014, 2012, 2010 and 2 losses in 2011 and 2009). They have not reached the finals since their win over Pittsford in 2014. |
# 1207 Penfield Holds Lead to Defeat Eagles Penfield scored the opening goal of the game and although Irondequoit tied the game three times, the Patriots never trailed. Penfield played a strong offensive game and held possession for large chunks of time. Their settled offense forced Irondequoit to rush when they did have the ball on offense. Patrick Hynes was a defensive standout for the Eagles. He repeatedly made saves that he had no business making and kept Irondequoit in the game. |
